FASCIA -WISE
Fascial applications for Movement, Functionality and Performance
January 14th 12 - 5pm
A professional development workshop in association with Anatomy Trains, Kenises*
Thomas Myers revolutionary Anatomy Trains brought our attention to the world of fascia and now further fascia research is showing us the phenomenal implication of this previously missed biological organism.
What is the fascia?
What does it do for me?
How can I be aware of it?
How do I Body Read it?
How do I influence it to influence me?
This introductory workshop to the fascia in movement will answer all the above questions. You will learn, through movements, a ‘felt’ reality of the phenomenal role the fascia plays in our lives. You will learn within the Pilates repertoire, movements in which YOU can feel, engage with and influence your fascia’s connectivity and tension integrity (appropriate tone).
Although from the origins of the Pilates Method vocabulary these fascial applications can be applied to all movement forms, sporting activities and daily functionality.
Re-conect the fascia’s connectivity and you will be restoring the body’s functionality, adaptability, resilience, self-regulating efficiency, ease, level of performance and state of health.
Cost: £85.00 (10% discount to CPM Members)
