CONNECTING TO THE NEURO-MYO-FASCIA THROUGH MOVEMENT.......for functionality, movement and performance

Working with the Fascia - Restoring, Reforming and 'Training' the Fascia

Did you know there are 10 x more sensory nerve endings in your fascia than in your muscles?

Karin Locher  developed  Contrology and The Bodylines' a new pioneering means to address and influence the 'reality' of the neuromyofascia.  Influencing our health, resilience, longevity, movement function, performance and life!

‘Fascia is the organ system of stability’ (Myers 2010)

'Fascia is our sensory organ' (Schleip)

Contrology and The Bodylines™ is a consistently made inner fascial contact through  before and during movement, bringing a heightened awareness of connectivity capable of ‘renegotiating’ and reforming  the elasticity and health of the fibres and the 'connectivity' of the fascial sheaths (lines).

Organised through this NEW practical and tangible 'training and inner awareness' approach, the myofascia is 'sense felt', evoked, influenced and restored.

Posture/pattern/pain  = Structure/symptom /shape

Change your pattern to loose your symptom - loose your pain to change your shape.

Re negotiating the 'give and take' in the elasticity of the tissue, through this NEW fascial approach, restores maximum functionality, maximises your stability to support your structure, ‘shape shifts’ your posture and achieves maximum range of motion. The integrity (tensegrity)of tension throughout the body gives 'space' for the health and efficiency of the body’s communication and function systems to cohabit and fully cooperate. It determines shape and form, compression or space, stagnation or flow, malfunction or functionality, strain or ease.

The fascia envelopes every cell in our body, slips and slides around every nook and cranny, surrounding the bones, muscles, systems and organs , it holds our entire consciousness in its fabric. It is our 3rd communication system, our greatest 'communication network’ to intercommunicate  and reconnect the 'whole' body on all levels.

The Fascial Body and Joseph Pilates

Drawn from the Study of the origins Joseph H Pilates' vocabulary and vision intent, his Method implies an innate understanding of the connectivity of the neuro-myo-fascia . His specific work progressively re-connects us to a neuromuscular interconnection with the neuro-myo-fasciae. It instantly attains and maintains a  ‘whole body movement’ for ‘whole health’ the fundamental principles of his work. It is the means for the ‘uniformly ,efficient, effortless developed body’ that he based his work on.

Have we perhaps come across a new 'terminology' for what Pilates was inherently doing?  He was as we know 50 years ahead of his time.
