MEMBERSHIP OF CONTROLOGY PILATES METHOD

Karin Locher, the founder and creator of Contrology Pilates Method (CPM), has spent many years studying and researching the original teachings of Joseph Pilates and from this she has pioneered the first neuromuscular interconnection to the myofascia, the Bodylines™ (a system based around the research done by Thomas Meyers and his work with ‘Anatomy Trains’).  Karin passes on this revolutionary integral work to her students through training programmes, courses and workshops.

To ensure the understanding and benefits of this teaching are maintained and developed a membership to the Contrology Pilates Method organization was launched.

Students who qualify from the Contrology Pilates Method training courses are automatically enrolled as members of the CPM organization for the first year, with their own entry in the Teachers’ Directory on our website.  After the first year, an annual ‘membership update’ and subscription of £65 will be required to stay in the Teachers’ Directory and to receive all the benefits of membership.  New members will be added to the Teachers’ Directory at the next available joining date (joining dates are: 31st January, 31st May and 30th September each year).

Continued membership will be at the sole discretion of the CPM organization.  This will not be a ‘points’ based system but, to ensure that the integrity of the CPM method is maintained, all members will be assessed each year and must fulfill the requirements for membership listed below.  For those working in locations outside the CPM Studio, a private, one hour, assessment session with Karin Locher must be completed to evaluate the performance and development of teaching skills before subscription renewal each year.  Teachers who work or attend the CPM Studio are constantly assessed and any issues will be addressed during the monthly staff meetings or during their private sessions.

BENEFITS OF MEMBERSHIP:

Use of the Contrology Pilates Method® Logo

Please find guidelines below for the use of the Contrology Pilates Method® logo which may be used by qualified Contrology Pilates Method (CPM) teachers of Matwork, Studio Work or both.  Please read the guidelines carefully and note that you may only use the logo for as long as you remain a member of the Contrology Pilates Method organization and continue to fulfill all the requirements for membership.

Logo Usage:

The logo may be placed on your business cards, advertisements, brochures and website.  Please note; the logo is specific to an individual teacher that has qualified following a Contrology Pilates Method Training Course.  The logo does not refer to a studio or a teacher-training programme.  The logo should, therefore, be positioned next to or near your personal biography, name or photograph.  Members of the public can confirm that a teacher using the logo is a current member holding a Contrology Pilates Method pilates teacher qualification by checking the Teachers’ Directory on our website www.contrology-pilates-method.com.

The Contrology Pilates Method organization does not monitor, approve, recognize or accredit studios or teacher training programmes.

The correct term for your qualification is Contrology Pilates Method Qualified Pilates (Matwork/Studio) Teacher.  It is important that you use the ® Registered Company sign after the first usage of the logo on each page of print where it appears, i.e. Your Name, Contrology Pilates Method® Qualified Pilates (Matwork/Studio) Teacher.

If all the teaching staff within a studio are Contrology Pilates Method Qualified Pilates Teachers, then you can, for example, say ‘At (Name of Studio), our staff are all Contrology Pilates Method® Qualified Pilates Teachers’.  If only some of the teachers are qualified with the Contrology Pilates Method then our logo should only appear next to the individual’s name.

Please remember that should you decide not to renew your membership with the Contrology Pilates Method organization you must remove our logo from all advertising material and your website on or before your membership expires.

Usage guidelines may be amended from time to time.  Any amendments will be notified in writing.
